Why us ?
The Reykjanes peninsula is a great site to enjoy the total eclipse. It offers multiple photogenic places where one might even witness an active volcanic eruption at the same time. And yes, it's perfectly safe to visit even if a volcanic eruption is ongoing.
In the Reykjanes peninsula, the towns of Garður and Sandgerði offer longest totality, each clocks just over 1m 40s. At Keflavík International Airport, totality lasts for 1m 38s,
Guests at the Northern Light Inn can watch totality from the geothermal spa for 1m 37s.
The last part of the Moon’s umbra to leave the mainland of Iceland is at Reykjanestá Lighthouse at 17:50:07. From there, totality lasts for 1m 47s. A dramatic location overlooking sea cliffs and the Atlantic ocean.

our 2 nights package
The main reason we have this a 2 nights stay package is that heavy traffic is estimated on August 12. This could lead to traffic jam and some road blocks.
We want to think ahead and get all our guests the day before to avoid any hassle.
So to make the most of your visit, you can use August 11 to explore the Reykjanes Peninsula or visit the world known Blue Lagoon.
Here are some ideas for the Reykjanes Peninsula:
Walk the Bridge Between Continents, where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates drift apart.
Witness the otherworldly geothermal landscapes at Gunnuhver Hot Springs and Krýsuvík Geothermal Area.
Visit the striking Reykjanes Lighthouse, standing watch over sea cliffs and crashing Atlantic waves.
If you want to visit the Blue Lagoon we recommend to book as soon as possible as it will be sold out.
On August 12, given that we have good weather you can walk around the area and in short distance see all the new lava that has emerged in our surroundings since December 18, 2023.
